Deputy Nursery Manager (Level 3) – Up to £35,000

As Deputy Nursery Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of a stunning nursery, working across rooms to maintain standards, ratios, and routines. The role involves regular time in rooms alongside practitioners, with shared responsibility for staffing, practice, and compliance. Each room is fully resourced and designed for daily indoor and outdoor use, with consistent routines across the setting.

What You’ll Need

• Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
• Recent experience as a Deputy Nursery Manager or Third in Charge
• Strong working knowledge of the EYFS
• Confidence supporting staff and addressing practice issues
• Clear understanding of safeguarding and regulatory requirements

• Support the Nursery Manager with daily operational oversight
• Step into management responsibility in the Manager’s absence
• Monitor practice across rooms to ensure EYFS requirements are met
• Support staffing, ratios, and daily deployment
• Complete and oversee documentation related to safeguarding, welfare, and compliance
• Work directly with practitioners to maintain consistent standards of care
