White Label Recruitment are proud to be working with a well-established, technically specialised business in Liverpool that's looking for a Head of Engineering to lead its small, capable team through the next phase of growth and operational excellence.

This is a true leadership role—balancing strategy with delivery, team development with commercial awareness, and technical oversight with cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll be doing:

Leading a team of five engineers with full departmental ownership

*

Defining and delivering Engineering Strategy aligned to wider business goals

*

Managing design sign-off, safety compliance, and engineering standards

*

Supporting new business processes, continuous improvement, and cross-team integration

*

Acting as a senior stakeholder across project engineering and operational matters

*

Representing the function internally and externally, with a focus on technical credibility and accountability

What we're looking for:

*

Degree-qualified (Mechanical or similar), or equivalent practical experience

*

A strong track record of leading engineering teams in a manufacturing or technical SME

*

Confident communicator who can influence at all levels and across disciplines

*

High-level knowledge of engineering software: AutoCAD, Inventor, SAP, MS Office, Adobe, Sage

*

Resilient and independent with the ability to work under pressure

*

Full UK driving licence, and flexibility for UK and international travel
