Maintains, Troubleshoots, and repairs various types of heavy equipment in a shop and field Environment to include but not limited to: Range of Class 7 & Class 8 trucks and trailers, Peterbuilts, Freightliners, CAT, ETC. Conducts regular preventative maintenance on regular service trucks to include inspections and oil changes. Maintains parts inventory and cleanliness of shop. Performs regular diagnostic tests on truck, diagnosing malfunctions and failures of machines electrical, hydraulic and power train components. Our normal line of business is water hauling so plumbing, fabrication and welding knowledge is a bonus. As well as maintaining accurate records of each repair per truck/vehicle. Work overtime as needed.
Performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, have hand and finger dexterity , speak and/or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel. Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- 4 Hour working interview, knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Valid Commercial driver's License
- Heavy Equipment Mechanic
* Vocational School or Manufacturer Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic Certification.
* 3+ year's Experience
