Apricus Resourcing are working with an excellent rated charity who are searching for a Young Persons Substance Misuse Worker for a role based in Enfield on an ongoing contract basis. This role offers a structured schedule from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, and a competitive pay rate of £19.66 per hour.

This role is perfect for those who are driven by a desire to support and guide young individuals through challenging times. As a Young Peoples Substance Misuse Practitioner, you will be at the forefront of providing essential services, helping to steer young people away from substance misuse and towards healthier, more fulfilling lives. Your work will not only transform individual futures but also contribute to the wellbeing of the wider community.

Key Duties for the role include:

* To deliver substance misuse services to Young people across Enfield and manage a caseload, reviewing ongoing recovery plans and treatment

* Carry out brief intervention's comprehensive assessments with Young People around their substance misuse

* Embed provision and service within targeted communities

* To liaise and network with a wide range of professionals working with young people across the area, maintaining effective partnerships and working agreements to improve the outcomes for the individual

* To improve outcomes for children, parents/carers and families of services users by reducing the impact of drug and alcohol related harm on family life and promote positive family involvement in recovery.

* Support young people to move on from the service when they are ready into sustainable education, employment, and universal youth provision

In order to be considered for this role you will need to have previous experience of working with young people and empathy with and understanding of the issues they face & experience of drug and alcohol-related work and an understanding of the problems associated with substance use including knowledge of drug issues and relevant legislation.
