Location: Altrincham UK

A dynamic and people-focused planning and development consultancy is seeking an enthusiastic Town Planner to join its growing team in Altrincham. Key Responsibilities:

Prepare site appraisals, planning statements, and minor applications
Translate research and policy into clear, concise written advice
Monitor applications proactively and coordinate with technical/design teams
Produce project updates, reports, and social media content for client and director review
Support senior colleagues on larger-scale projects while independently managing smaller ones
Build strong client and stakeholder relationships through clear communication and advice

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

A Master's degree in Town Planning, Geography, Environmental Science, or a related field
Some relevant professional experience in town planning or a related discipline
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Adobe Creative Suite advantageous)
Associate membership of the RTPI and a proactive approach toward full accreditation
A team-oriented, proactive attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
