Hill McGlynn are delighted to partner with a reputable regional main contractor delivering high-quality construction projects across Kent and London. We are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join their team, working on a variety of new build and refurbishment projects valued up to £10 million. An excellent opportunity for a motivated professional looking to grow their career within a forward-thinking organization.

Key Responsibilities

* Managing commercial aspects of projects from initial estimates through to final account.

* Measuring and pricing works accurately in line with project specifications and drawings.

* Procuring subcontractors, managing payments, and handling variations.

* Supporting cost control and financial reporting to ensure project profitability.

* Collaborating with project teams, clients, and suppliers to deliver projects on time and within budget.

* Assisting with risk management and value engineering initiatives.

* Contributing to the successful delivery of projects across the region.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:

* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry, working on projects up to £10 million.

* Experience in new build and refurbishment schemes.

* Project experience in the healthcare and hospital sector is a distinct advantage.

* Strong commercial awareness, negotiation skills, and attention to detail.

* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

* Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction, or related fields.
