Building Services Manager - London - £62,000

Social Housing Recruitment have been exclusively retained by Octavia Housing, an innovative independent housing association, to search for a Building Services Manager.

This role will report into the Director of Asset Management and will play a leading role to ensure the associations key building services are maintained and efficiently run to provide the highest levels of service to its residents and communities. Who are Octavia Group?

Octavia Housing was founded by Octavia Hill, a pioneer of Social Housing. The organisation is steeped in history dating back to the 1860's when, Octavia was a co-founder of the National Trust and the first clean air campaigner for London. In more recent years, Octavia Housing have been heavily invested in numerous schemes, developments and care, including Affordable Housing, Charity Shops, Care Homes and new Development. Key responsibilities of the Building Service Manager Include:

Responsibility for all aspects of mechanical and electrical management of property assets under Octavia's management
Working with the Sustainability and Energy Manager to evaluate opportunities where energy savings can be achieved
Ensuring Octavia's residents and staff remain safe and where necessary compliant
Support the procurement of ME contracts and the mobilisation of new contracts.
Leadership and management of the Building Services team

The successful Building Services Manager will possess:

A creative and solutions focused approach to the delivery of building services and where possible identify areas of innovation
Experience of managing a range of stakeholder relationships, establishing shared goals in pursuing tangible delivery of agreed objectives
A strong sense of social purpose and values to help maintain the vision and heart of Octavia Hill and the Trust to help deliver a pioneering approach to supporting the community
The ability to inspire, motivate and direct a diverse and professional workforce to achieve a high quality, value driven team
