Your role at Orbit.

With an established track record delivering over 10,000 homes to date and ambition to build a further 8,000 new homes before 2025, Orbit Homes is one of the country's major housing developers.

The Customer Care team play an integral part of the house purchase process. Occasionally defects materialise with in new build properties or the homeowner might identify other quality issues within the property or surrounding grounds.

As one of Orbit Homes Multi-skilled tradespeople/Customer Care Operatives you will be responsible for the day to day remediation of issues in customers homes. The role involves resolving defects/general snags utilising a wide selection of skills including carpentry, dry lining, tiling, mastic application, painting and decorating.

Working closely with the Regional Customer Care Manager and Co-ordinators you will ensure that all materials required are sourced prior to the appointment, complete inspections of reported defects and record repairs that have been completed onto Orbits IT systems.

You will liaise with customers, colleagues, and contractors to ensure repairs are completed “right first time” and ensure that health and safety protocol is always followed.

In addition to the benefits described below, the Customer Care Operative will benefit from your own assigned work van with basic supply of tools and materials, fuel card and uniform.

What will help you make a difference.

Applicants should demonstrate a wealth of planned and reactive remedial works experience in a customer facing environment. You will possess a broad range of skills including carpentry, tiling, mastic application, painting and decorating etc and demonstrate that your approach delivers high levels of customer satisfaction and quality repairs.

You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload.

Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is essential to be considered.
