The RoleAs an
Accounts Technician, you’ll be responsible for preparing accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You’ll work as part of a friendly and experienced team, supporting senior accountants and liaising directly with clients.
Key responsibilities:- Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
- Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for clients
- Supporting clients with cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and build strong working relationships
- Supporting senior colleagues with ad-hoc accounting and compliance tasks
About You- AAT qualified or part-qualified, or qualified by experience
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and bookkeeping
- Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
- Familiarity with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
- Organised, motivated, and eager to develop your skills further
