This is an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, gain valuable experience, and progress your career in a firm that truly invests in its people.The RoleAs an Accounts Technician, you’ll be responsible for preparing accounts for a variety of clients including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies. You’ll work as part of a friendly and experienced team, supporting senior accountants and liaising directly with clients.Key responsibilities:

• Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and VAT returns
• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for clients
• Supporting clients with cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
• Liaising directly with clients to resolve queries and build strong working relationships
• Supporting senior colleagues with ad-hoc accounting and compliance tasks

About You

• AAT qualified or part-qualified, or qualified by experience
• Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation and bookkeeping
• Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail
• Familiarity with cloud accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
• Organised, motivated, and eager to develop your skills further
