Salary: £29,000 per annum + sleep-in pay

Requirements

Right to live and work in the UK

*

Full, clean driving licence

*

Ability to work long shifts, including evenings and weekends

*

Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent (Health & Social Care - children and young people pathway)

*

Minimum 1 year experience in children's residential care (desirable)

*

Strong understanding of safeguarding and children's welfare

About the Role

As a Senior Residential Care Worker, you will take a lead role on shift, supporting and mentoring your team while providing a safe, nurturing, and structured environment for young people. You will help shape care plans, ensure smooth daily operations of the home, and drive quality outcomes for every child in your care.

Support staff and contribute to performance assessments

Promote safeguarding and maintain a safe home environment

Encourage young people to engage in education, social, and community activities

Support healthy lifestyles, including meal preparation and personal care

Ensure compliance with care regulations and health & safety guidelines

Attend meetings and training sessions

Transport young people to appointments, education, and activities
