Category Officer

Duration: Initially 5 months
Hours: 37 hours per week (hours flexible)
Rate: £20 PAYE an hour
Location: Oxford (1 day a month in the office)

Oxfordshire County Council are looking for a Category Officer to join their Children's Services

Responsibilities:

Flexible working hours however core hours are expected to be covered
Reporting to the Category Manager for Children's Services, this role will undertake the full delivery of key procurement and contract management projects within the Corporate and Commercial category
Including tender document preparation, tendering, contract monitoring and contract administration
To act as a professional advisor on procurement and contract management
Work with Commissioners and Service Leads across the council 
Requirements:

Experience in Children's Services and Education essential
MCIPS to Level 4
Procurement Act 2023 Assessment completed
Public Sector procurement knowledge and experience
Significant procurement experience
