We're recruiting on behalf of a highly respected manufacturing client based in Birstall. Known for their precision-engineered, energy-efficient products and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction, they're now seeking an Operations Support Co-ordinator to join their fast-paced operations team.
This is a newly created role, offering the successful candidate the opportunity to shape processes, drive efficiency, and play a key part in post-sales coordination.
The Role:
As Operations Support Co-ordinator, you'll be the vital link between the sales, scheduling, and procurement teams, ensuring that customer orders are moved swiftly and accurately through to delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Coordination:
* Make outbound calls to customers following confirmed sales orders
* Agree delivery dates and encourage earlier delivery when possible
* Follow up persistently and professionally to secure delivery commitments
Operational & Administrative Support:
* Update internal systems with delivery details and customer communications
* Liaise with internal teams to align production and delivery timelines
* Manage and respond to customer emails in a timely and professional manner
* Contribute to achieving OTIF (On Time In Full) performance targets
What We're Looking For:
* Confident, professional communicator—particularly on the phone
* Highly organised with strong attention to detail
* Comfortable managing competing priorities and follow-ups
* Commercially aware with an understanding of lead time impacts
* A collaborative team player who works well across departments
* Experience in manufacturing, logistics, operations, or supply chain is highly beneficial
