Are you looking for a hands‑on role where no two days are the same? We're seeking a proactive and safety‑focused Quarry Operative to join our team and play a key part in the safe and efficient running of our quarry operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone with strong operational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently with mobile and static plant.
Purpose of the Role
As a Quarry Operative, you will:
Operate mobile and static plant safely, responsibly and in line with certification and site instructions.
Carry out general housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe working environment.
Support wider processing plant activities as directed by Site Management.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain mobile and static plant to a high standard, including refuelling, greasing, and cleaning in line with manufacturer and MQP guidelines.
Operate plant efficiently and economically.
Complete daily inspection sheets for all relevant machinery.
Report defects or issues promptly to the Load & Haul management team.
Submit near miss reports and contribute to maintaining a strong safety culture.
Education, Skills & Experience
Essential:
GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).
Strong general education with the ability to understand and follow detailed safety and quarry regulations.
Competency cards for loading shovel, ADT and excavator.
