Salary: £55000 - £65000/annum

A client of ours in the Ipswich area are recruiting a Commercial Contracts Manager to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Thursday 7.30am - 4.00pm and Friday 7:30am - 1:00pm. Paying £55,000 - £65,000 per annum depending on experience.

You will be responsible for shaping, negotiating, and managing strategically significant contracts. You will lead high value negotiations, oversee agreements from bid to closeout, and ensure all commercial and legal obligations align with organisational objectives and regulatory requirements.

Reporting to the MD, key duties include but are not limited to:

Draft, review, and negotiate contractual terms
Lead the full Route to Contract process, including bid support, cost alignment, proposal development, and negotiation of bespoke terms
Provide commercial oversight throughout contract delivery, including amendments, deliverables, and acceptance criteria
Ensure all contracts comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards
Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders on contract matters
Identify and mitigate legal and operational risks, ensuring compliance
Manage the full contract lifecycle, including renewals, extensions, and transition activities
Provide timely reporting to senior leadership on contract performance and risk
Resolve contractual disputes with support from legal and relevant stakeholders
Support business winning activities by contributing to competitive and compliant commercial proposals
Maintain financial governance across projects, ensuring budgets, margins, and profitability remain aligned with commercial expectations
Skills and Experience required to be considered for this Commercial Contracts Manager position:

5+ years' experience in commercial or contract management with significant financial responsibility
Have proven ability to draft, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts
Manufacturing and production industry experience desirable
Be able to manage multiple priorities
Excellent communication skills
Demonstrate knowledge of contracting frameworks is advantageous
