Thurrock Council is looking for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Adoption Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across the full adoption journey within a supportive and well-established service.

You will be involved in all aspects of adoption, including:

• Recruitment and assessment of adopters
• Delivering preparation training and information events
• Family finding and matching for children
• Supporting adopters post-placement
• Working with birth parents
• Completing post-adoption and SGO assessments
• Preparing court reports (including non-agency and stepparent adoptions)
• Working in partnership with Adopt East

• Qualified Social Worker with 3+ years PQE
• Adoption experience is essential
• Strong background in statutory childcare
• Excellent report writing and communication skills
• Social Work England registration
