The role — HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter

Carry out servicing, repairs and maintenance on HGVs and commercial vehicles
Complete inspections and planned preventative maintenance to DVSA standards
Diagnose mechanical & electrical faults accurately and plan effective repairs
Identify worn/defective components; complete job cards, service records & compliance paperwork precisely
Support roadside repairs when required and maintain a clean, safe, organised workshop
Help coach apprentices/junior technicians as needed
What you'll bring

Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI or equivalent)
Proven experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter / Commercial Vehicle Technician / LGV Technician
Strong fault‑finding/diagnostics and solid understanding of DVSA compliance
Full UK driving licence, positive attitude and a strong team ethic
Pay, hours & type

Rate: £18-£19 per hour (DOE)
Hours: 40 per week
Shifts: Alternating — 07:30-16:00 and 13:30-22:00
Job type: Full‑time, permanent
