A busy industrial workshop is looking for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to support plant, machinery, and site equipment. This role involves fabrication, welding repairs, and both planned and reactive maintenance. Mainly workshop-based with some yard and occasional off-site work.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and repair bins, containers, and industrial equipment
- Carry out PPM and breakdown repairs on heavy machinery
- Perform MIG and MMA welding on a variety of metals
- Interpret and produce technical drawings
- Work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment
- Support and mentor a workshop apprentice
What You'll Need- Strong experience as a Fabricator/Welder in industrial or heavy engineering
- Skills in MIG, MMA, and stainless steel welding
- Ability to read/produce technical drawings
- Practical, safety-focused approach and ability to work independently
Desirable- NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Fabrication & Welding
- Experience in waste, recycling, or heavy industrial sectors
- Full UK driving licence
