Our lovely Client based in Redditch is currently recruiting for a Night Administration Coordinator to carry out the following:

You must be able to communicate effectively, be highly organised and remain focused under pressure. You must take control of tracking of movement of goods from A to B and keep customers informed. Must always be in full control and be able to communicate at the highest level. Must have a can-do attitude and take pride in the job, ideally with some transport / logistic experience.

The role will involve working with one or two others (not a large team whilst on nights)

Loading orders onto the system

Tracking shipments

Quoting for shipments

Tracking road and air shipments

Liaising with customs for relevant documentation across borders

Negotiating rates with carriers when necessary

Building positive relationships with carriers

Planning vehicles

Communicating with subcontractors

Keeping customers updated as to the progress of jobs

Closing out job files by obtaining POD and any other required information (Purchase orders etc) and scanning documents onto the system

Ensuring drivers have correct paperwork for EU shipments

Ensuring clear and accurate communication with the warehouse so they are aware of returns and outgoing loads and can plan work effectively

Ensuring jobs are completed on the system and checked prior to invoicing

Ensuring paperwork is filed accurately and in a timely manner

Liaising with Operations, Accounts and Warehouse

Effective escalation of issues relating to customer System requirements

Maintenance of system data and its integrity

Key Skills

Someone with a good attitude

Someone who has a good attention to detail

Ideally someone with a transport background, either UK/EU or worldwide

Used to working in a busy environment

Able to deal with stressful situations (line stoppage risks and high-profile shipments)

The hours of work are Friday - Monday night starting at 19.00 through to 07.00am the following morning (4 day working with 1-hour unpaid break totaling 44 hours per week)

20 days holiday (5 weeks) plus bank holidays

Initial training will be completed working day hours, this is expected to be for 6 - 8 weeks, working 40 hours per week (salary will be pro rata during this period)
