People In Power is working with a specialist engineering company supplying accessories for subsea power cables and umbilicals with a focus upon repair joint systems across all voltage ranges. We have a strong and growing presence in the rapidly expanding offshore wind sector and also supply into the offshore oil & gas industry. As a subsidiary of Pfisterer, a major supplier of cable accessories to the energy market.

The Company is anticipating considerable growth over the next few years and will need additional skilled and enthusiastic staff to support this. We are currently seeking a suitably skilled and experienced Engineering Administrator.

Job Position Overview - Engineering Coordinator

The position of Engineering Coordinator will report to the Design Manager, the role combines engineering knowledge with the administrative and organisational skills needed to support the engineering, commercial and production teams to ensure the successful supply of a range of products for the offshore energy sector. This will involve maintaining accurate records, reports, and documentation related to projects and operations across different functions to ensure the effective operation of core business processes.

In essence, the Engineering Coordinator plays a critical role in enabling the engineering, commercial and production teams to focus on their core tasks by providing efficient and effective administrative support.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

* To be involved in the implementation and maintenance of Company ERP system

* Production and maintenance of component item masters including up to date costs

* Formulation and updating of BOM's for new and existing products

* Generation of cost estimates for commercial proposals

* Oversee administrative processes to ensure compliance with company policies

* Maintaining records and data storage

* Minor updates to engineering drawings and Jointing Recommendations

* Preparation of document packs relating to product supply

* Maintenance of the calibration system

* Maintenance of HSE and training records.

* Maintenance of the MSDS file.

* Maintenance of standards and specifications

* Identifying areas for improvement in administrative and engineering processes

Key Skill Requirements

* General level of education required, engineering experience/qualification preferred

* Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment

* Proven experience in an administrative or support role within an engineering or technical environment

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office - mainly Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint

* Ability to read technical drawings

* Some experience of CAD modelling and drawing

* ERP system experience

* Costing/Estimating experience

The role will be based near Rochester - Kent

Working hours will be 0900hrs-1700 hrs Monday to Friday
