The Role

We are recruiting for a Support Worker to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant within specialist schools.

This role involves supporting children with special educational needs (SEN) in an education setting, including:

Autism (ASD)

ADHD

SEMH (social, emotional and mental health needs)

Behavioural needs

You will work as a Teaching Assistant within the classroom, supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.

Support Worker or Care Worker roles

Residential support work

Youth work

Working with vulnerable individuals

Experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities or behaviour is highly relevant to this school-based role.

Requirements

Experience working with children, young people or vulnerable individuals

Ability to support behaviour in a structured environment

Strong communication skills

Interest in working within education and schools
