Are you a skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to take the next step in your career within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? A leading food production business based in Gloucester is looking to strengthen its Engineering Team with a talented and proactive engineer.

About the Role:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production by maintaining equipment and machinery to a high standard. This is a hands-on role suited to a motivated individual who thrives on solving problems and keeping downtime to an absolute minimum.

Responsibilities:

Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on production equipment.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and carry out effective repairs.

*

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant reliability and efficiency.

*

Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

*

Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to minimise disruption and optimise performance.

What We're Looking For:

*

A time-served engineer with a recognised engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, etc.).

*

Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance skills (multiskilled preferred).

*

Experience in a manufacturing environment - ideally food, FMCG, or similar.

*

Proactive attitude, with strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.

*

Able to work effectively in a team and independently when required
