Leader Education are recruiting a teacher to work at a Primary School based in Newcastle. The successful teacher will be compassionate, patient and hold a qualified teacher status (QTS) as well as some relevant experience working alongside young people aged 3 to 11, some of whom may have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30am until 4:30pm and is a long-term position
The ideal candidate will have:
- An enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Some experience working with or alongside pupils that may exhibit some elements of SEND
- A compassionate, resilient and patient personality
- A great understanding of safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people
- Be familiar with some tailored interventions and programmes that are used to support children and young people experiencing struggles with additional needs
