18 Recruitment have a superb opportunity for a Commercial Manager, based in Stratford. The right candidate will be responsible for effectively managing the commercial resources of the project throughout the project lifecycle in order to ensure success of the project objectives, maximise profit and ensure the success of the Business Plan.

You will encourage 'best practice' and 'continuous improvement' in the planning, provision and monitoring of commercial support and assurance to the Project Manager/the project delivery team.

Responsibilities

* Negotiate and procure subcontract work packages as required.

* Attend progress meetings and provide commercial reports to clients as required including quarterly reports on expenditure against PPP capped items.

* Demonstrate a good understanding of the Contract and ensure compliance with all terms, conditions and practices.

* Work collaboratively with the Contract Manager to identify potential cost/efficiency savings on the contract - particularly around the delivery of the PPP.

Requirements:

* Understanding of Term Contracts and ability to challenge / resolve areas of service delivery which are not aligned to Terms & Conditions.

* Ability to work closely and collaboratively with client(s).

* Negotiate and manage the best possible commercial deals with Sub-Contractors.

* Ability to work from own initiative and bring new innovative ideas to the business.
