We provide services to partner clients globally via our innovative advanced robotics technology, known as the Ocado Smart Platform ("OSP"), this drives our highly automated, multi-million pound Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs). In our CFCs - together with the proprietary software applications - we operate a world-class online grocery business that automates the single pick of products, ready for your online delivery.

The role of the QMS Leader,is to champion the Quality Mission across Ocado Technology to deliver an aligned strategy to Assure Outcomes.

The scope of ISO 9001 provides the framework for driving Risk Management & Continuous Improvement but the incumbent will be expected to drive change to new ways of working for the application of the QMS for Compliance, Design, Operations and Services. The role sits in Ocado Technology Services but equally supports Ocado Technology Development and Ocado Technology Operations.

You will be:

The core objectives of this role is to establish, implement and maintain an effective quality management system and to report back on measurable performance improvements.
  • Development and promotion of a proactive quality assurance framework across the company
  • Establish value driven QMS improvements - critical to the quality culture requirements
  • Establish Product design & engineering quality dependencies for QMS integration
  • Lead business internal audit process, governance & reporting
  • Identify Project Quality Assurance to drive quality improvements
  • Problem Solving / Failure Mode analysis with Supply Chain Quality to identify Design Process failures & mitigation
Experience Required:
  • Engineering degree
  • Proven experience in Quality Systems Management.
  • Certification of quality control is a strong advantage (ISO 9000 etc.)
  • In depth understanding of quality control procedures and relevant legal standards
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills
  • Conscientious and responsible
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Quality tools
  • New Product Introduction / Product Lifecycle Management process experience
