Estate Surveyor - 3-6 Month Contract - Hybrid - Grays - £400/day

A well regarded local authority client is seeking an experienced Estate Surveyor to join its Corporate Property Team. Reporting to the Estate Manager, you will support the delivery of the Council's Corporate Property Strategy while managing a varied portfolio of corporate property assets. The role will involve condition surveys, tenant liaison, asset performance monitoring and supporting property initiatives across the council's estate.

Key responsibilities

* Undertake condition surveys across the council's corporate property portfolio
* Support delivery of the asset review programme and develop asset plans for individual properties
* Monitor asset performance and report against KPIs and service targets
* Provide professional property advice to council departments and major council projects
* Assist with property transactions arising from the asset review programme
* Support the development and implementation of the Corporate Property Strategy
* Manage external consultants and specialist advisers where required
* Produce reports, briefings and recommendations for senior management, committees and cabinet

Essential

* Experience working within a local authority or public sector property environment
* Experience undertaking property condition surveys and asset reviews
* Knowledge of corporate property portfolios and estate management
* Experience producing reports and briefing notes for senior stakeholders
* Strong stakeholder engagement and organisational skills
