Axon Moore are excited to be supporting a well-established and growing business in Chorley to recruit a new Commercial Operations Partner. This role is paying a competitive salary of up to £55,000.We are seeking a Commercial Operations Partner to act as a key advisor to operations and commercial teams. The role focuses on driving profitable growth and operational efficiency through insight-led decision support, pricing and margin analysis, and high-quality reporting. You will leverage Power BI and other analytics tools to deliver actionable insights, helping teams make confident commercial decisions.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial & Operational Partnering
  • Partner closely with operations teams to monitor costs, productivity, and efficiency.
  • Support commercial teams with pricing decisions, promotional evaluation, and margin optimisation.
  • Influence key operational and commercial decisions using data-driven insights.
  • Translate complex analysis into clear, actionable reports and dashboards for non-finance stakeholders.
Analysis & Reporting
  • Analyse operational costs, including labour, logistics, and fulfilment, to support margin management.
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to track operational KPIs, including efficiency, accuracy, waste, and cost per order.
  • Produce ad hoc reports and scenario modelling to support trading, pricing, promotional, and operational decisions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and optimise resource allocation through automated insights.
Planning & Performance
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking for operations and commercial functions.
  • Contribute to long-term planning, including pricing strategy, profitability improvement, and operational alignment with demand.
Person SpecificationEssential Experience
  • Proven experience in a commercial or business partnering role within operations or e-commerce.
  • Strong commercial acumen, including pricing, margin, and operational performance.
  • Advanced experience with Power BI, Excel, or other analytics/reporting tools.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to influence and build relationships across functions.
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and producing high volumes of ad hoc reporting.
Desirable Experience
  • Multi-channel retail or high-volume operational experience.
  • Experience improving reporting processes and automating insight delivery.
  • Familiarity with other BI tools or analytics platforms is a plus.
