Rapidly growing, PE backed company with revenues £300m require an ACA qualified Interim Group Financial Controller/Director to review the Group finance function. Develop the processes and systems to create a best in class Group finance function. Initially this is an interim role for 6 months outside of IR35 with a view to becoming permanent with a significant equity stake.

The successful candidate will:

• Lead a finance team of c20, comprising of Group finance, Treasury and Tax.
• Management / Production of the annual statutory and Group consolidated accounts. Managing 3rd party tax advisors
• Support the wider finance team and exec with accounting of acquisitions. 13 companies acquired so far this year.
• Improvement of the SAGE accounting system and the Purchase order system including development to meet the needs to the business as it grows further
• Ownership of the monthly cashflow, covenants, balance sheet reporting and group consolidation
• Manage banking relationship
• Be the 'go to’ person for technical accounting and tax advice and know when to get external support when required.
• Oversee audit relationships and manage the end-to-end external audit process
• Assist in the preparation of the monthly board packs
• Restructuring work
• Delivery of any projects to improve systems and processes within the finance department

Requirements:

• ACA Qualified
• Handson not just managing the team
• Extensive Group consolidation and Tax experience
• Excellent technical accounting knowledge
• Team leadership, guidance and development skills
• Available to start at short notice and commit to a minimum of 6 months
