Lead Delivery Managers - Transform Digital Health in Wales

Location: Cardiff (Hybrid working available)

Salary: NHS Band 8a £54,550 - £61,412

Are you a delivery leader who thrives in complexity, champions collaboration, and wants to make a real difference in people's lives? We're hiring up to four Lead Delivery Managers to join our mission to design and deliver digital services that support preventative, community, and mental health care across Wales.

This is not your typical governance-heavy role. You'll be embedded directly within product teams—working shoulder-to-shoulder with Developers, Engineers, Testers, and User-Centred Design professionals. Your mission: serve the team, unblock delivery, and foster a culture of openness, agility, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Be Doing

* Champion delivery flow using Agile and Lean principles, metrics, and data to drive outcomes.

* Create high-performing environments where teams can thrive and deliver value.

* Coach and mentor team members while growing delivery capability across communities of practice.

* Work transparently with Product Owners and users—aligning delivery to real-world needs through open roadmaps.

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience leading cross-functional digital teams (Delivery Manager, Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or similar).

* Deep understanding of delivery flow metrics—cumulative flow diagrams, throughput, WIP, and more.

* Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders, while staying close to the delivery heartbeat.

* A servant-leader mindset—motivated by enabling teams rather than directing them.

What This Role Is Not

* Not a traditional project or programme manager role.

* No command-and-control, no stage gates—this is about sustainable, continuous delivery rooted in user and population health needs.
