School Chef/Cook
Hours: 37 hours per week, working Monday to Friday, ideally 7.30am-3.30pm. The contract is to work during term time only plus 10 working days (40 weeks per year).

Reed Education are supporting a great Primary School in York who are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Chef with proven chef and kitchen management skills to lead our kitchen team into an exciting period of development. They are currently having their kitchen refurbished, with a completion date of 1 November. Until this date, the Chef will run operations from a temporary kitchen in school.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual who has experience of working in a busy school kitchen where working to a deadline is key. You will have a positive, 'can do’ attitude with a good work ethic
You will be responsible for maintaining their five-star food hygiene rating, operating within school food standards, ordering food and minimising waste.
You will be working with a team of 3 Kitchen Assistants.
