Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Job Type: Flexible, 8:30am -3:30pm

Location: Waltham Forest

Salary: £99-£120 *Depending on Expeirence

The Role: Cover Supervisor - Waltham Forest

As a cover supervisor you will be required to manage groups of around 30 students independently, delivering the work set to the class providing support when required.

A Cover Supervisor will be expected to:

* Supervise classes during the short-term absence of a teacher.

* Distribute and explain pre-set work to students and ensure they remain on task.

* Manage classroom behaviour and deal with incidents following the school's behaviour policy.

* Take attendance and complete required administrative tasks.

* Report back to teachers or senior staff on student progress and behaviour.

* Support students with questions about the assigned work (without direct teaching).

* Ensure a safe and orderly environment in the classroom.

* Follow school procedures including safeguarding and health and safety policies.

* Support during exam periods or other school activities as needed.

* Attend briefings or training sessions if required by the school.

Qualifications and requirements - Cover Supervisor - Waltham Forest

* Experience in a similar role/ leading a classroom

* Experience of managing challenging behaviour

* Proven ability to solve problems quickly and remain calm

* Basic level of IT literacy in using Microsoft software e.g. outlook, Word, Excel

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
