About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Animal Management Lecturer with a strong veterinary nursing background to provide short-term cover within our Further Education provision.
This is a teaching-focused role requiring delivery, assessment, and completion of specific units across Level 3 Animal Management and Dog Grooming qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver and complete teaching for:
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate in Animal Management
Unit 4: Husbandry (complete delivery of Learning Outcome C and assess the full unit)
Pearson BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Animal Management
Unit 17: Principles of Animal Nursing (complete remaining teaching)
Mark Assessment 1
Release and mark Assessment 2 following delivery
IPET Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management
Unit 307: Canine Emergency First Aid (complete delivery and assessment)
Carry out marking and assessment in line with awarding body standards
Ensure learners are supported to achieve learning outcomes
Maintain accurate records of learner progress
Essential Requirements
Relevant qualification or professional experience in Veterinary Nursing
Experience teaching or delivering Animal Management or related subjects
Knowledge of BTEC and/or vocational qualification frameworks
Strong assessment and marking experience
Desirable
Teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
Experience within Further Education settings
