We are recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing facility in the East Lothian area.
This is a hands-on role within the site maintenance team, focused on minimising downtime, supporting production, and maintaining plant equipment to a high standard.

The role

Electrical maintenance on manufacturing and plant equipment

*

Fault finding on motors, drives, control panels, and automation systems

*

Responding to breakdowns to keep production running

*

Supporting planned preventative maintenance schedules

*

Working on shutdowns, overhauls, and improvement projects

*

Using maintenance systems to record work completed

*

Working closely with mechanical engineers and production staff

*

Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures

Are you the right fit?

We are keen to speak to candidates who can say yes to most of the following:

✔ Qualified Electrician / Electrical Engineer

*

✔ 18th Edition

*

✔ Experience in manufacturing, production, FMCG, timber, heavy industry, or similar environment

*

✔ Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills

*

✔ Experience with PLC / automation / control systems (advantage)

*

✔ Used to working in a fast-paced plant environment

*

✔ Able to work as part of a maintenance team

*

✔ Reliable, practical, and safety-focused

Applicants without manufacturing / industrial maintenance experience are unlikely to be suitable.
