With multiple partners and a strong team of professionals, they provide the full suite of accountancy and advisory services to a diverse and loyal client base. Sectors include manufacturing, distribution, retail, wholesale, property, FCA-regulated entities, professional organisations, recruitment, charities and more with client turnovers up to £120M (with the averages being up to £25M).

The Role:

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Audit Senior to join their busy Audit Department. You will gain great client exposure across varied industries, working closely with Partners and Managers, and will have the opportunity to take ownership of assignments from planning to completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead audits from planning through to completion, both at client premises and in the office
  • The role is split approximately 70% Audit & 30% Accounts
  • Prepare financial statements under FRS 102, IFRS, and Charity SORP
  • Prepare accounts from client records for non-audit clients, including Limited Companies, LLPs, and Charities
  • Prepare corporation tax computations based on accounts prepared.
  • Liaise with clients and Managers regarding audit progress, findings, and process improvements.
  • Reconcile control accounts and recommend necessary adjustments.
  • Supervise on-site audit teams, develop junior staff, and review their work.
  • Monitor budgets and manage assignments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide ad-hoc support to clients, such as training and general accounting/tax assistance.

About You:

  • ACA, ACCA, CPA, ICAS, SAICA, CAANZ, CA, QBE (or equivalent) with strong senior audit experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of auditing standards and accounting principles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build lasting client relationships.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple assignments to tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience supervising and mentoring junior team members.
