Freight Planner

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Logistics Operations Assistant to join our clients growing team. In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting day-to-day logistics and warehouse operations, ensuring smooth freight movement, customs compliance, and optimal trailer utilisation. working hours are 9am till 6pm monday to friday.

Collaborate with the warehouse team to ensure trailers are loaded to maximum capacity

Support operations in the collection and distribution of freight

Book vehicles for collections and deliveries efficiently

Liaise with subcontractors to secure vehicles at the most competitive rates

Assist in maintaining customs compliance for all trailer movements

Build and manage accurate loading manifests

Finalise loading manifests in line with customs and operational requirements

Requirements:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and general computer literacy

Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

A proactive approach to health and safety

Strong communication and teamwork skills
