Our client is looking for an experienced and capable Commercial Solar Roofer / PV Installer to join their growing team. This hands-on, full-time role involves the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems on commercial properties. While panel placement is handled by the roofing crew, this role focuses on overseeing and executing system layout, rail installation, and DC wiring. Flexibility to travel and work away from home is a key requirement.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Interpret technical drawings and accurately install rail systems in line with manufacturer guidelines.

Lead and support the roofing team on-site, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship.

*

Install DC containment systems and string DC cabling, including the integration of optimisers and system mapping.

*

Securely install solar panels according to project specifications.

*

Coordinate with the electrical team to ensure alignment on containment routes and cable layouts.

*

Take full responsibility for the roof work area, maintaining safety and cleanliness at all times.

Essential Requirements:

Full UK driving licence.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

CSCS card (valid).

*

IPAF and/or PASMA certification.

EAL qualifications in:

*

Installation & maintenance of small-scale Solar PV systems.

*

Electrical Energy Storage Systems.

*

Solar PV installation qualification.

*

Asbestos Awareness certification.

*

Telehandler ticket.

*

Understanding of current electrical regulations and health & safety standards.
