Are you an experienced Town Planner ready to step into a more senior role with greater autonomy, exciting projects, and real progression potential? I'm working with a well-established planning consultancy in Newcastle that is looking to expand its team with a dynamic Senior Town Planner.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected multi-disciplinary firm with a strong pipeline of work across residential, commercial, and mixed-use schemes. You'll be supported by a collaborative team of planners, surveyors, and environmental consultants, working on high-profile projects from initial strategy through to delivery.

The Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you will:

Lead and manage a variety of planning applications and appeals

Provide expert advice to clients across the public and private sectors

Prepare and submit complex planning applications and supporting documents

Liaise with local authorities, stakeholders, and communities

Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the team

Play a key role in business development and client relationship management

About You
To be considered, you should have:

A degree in Town Planning or a related discipline (RTPI accredited)

MRTPI chartership (or very close to achieving)

At least 5 years' experience in planning (consultancy or local authority)

Strong understanding of the UK planning system and policy framework

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A proactive, client-focused approach with strong commercial awareness
