The Role - SEMH Teaching Assistant

Qualiteach are recruiting for a committed and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a Pupil Referral Unit in Hammersmith & Fulham this September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity supporting students aged 11-16 who have been permanently excluded or are at risk of exclusion from mainstream schools.

You will work closely with students presenting challenging behaviour, trauma, and social/emotional needs, both in and outside of the classroom. The ideal candidate will be skilled in building relationships, de-escalation strategies, and working with students who require a high level of pastoral support. Previous PRU or youth work experience is highly desirable.
