Our client is a well-established CNC precision engineering company based in Welwyn Garden City. As they continue to grow, they are looking for a motivated and experienced Goods In / Goods Out Operative to join their team.

Role Overview:

As the Goods In / Goods Out Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and finished products in and out of the facility. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and the ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a proactive attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

*

Receive and inspect all incoming goods, ensuring accuracy against delivery notes and purchase orders

*

Accurately label and store incoming materials and components

*

Pick and prepare parts for dispatch according to customer specifications

*

Pack and ship finished products ensuring appropriate packaging and documentation

*

Operate forklift trucks to move goods around the warehouse and loading/unloading deliveries

*

Maintain accurate stock records and update internal systems as required

*

Liaise with production and purchasing teams to coordinate materials flow

*

Carry out regular stock checks and assist with inventory control

*

Ensure all areas are kept clean, safe, and organised in accordance with health and safety regulations

Requirements:

*

Valid forklift license - essential

*

Previous experience in a similar Goods In / Goods Out or warehouse operative role, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment

*

Good IT and numeracy skills

*

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

*

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

*

Flexible and proactive approach to work

*

Knowledge of quality control standards in aerospace/automotive/defence sectors is an advantage
