Our client is a successful buying society based in Leicester - they are looking for a Receptionist to work within their dedicated team.

The Role

The position suits a friendly, positive person who strives to offer first class customer service to

both the internal team and external visitors. The individual will need to be organised,

disciplined, and have an excellent telephone manner.

The person fulfilling the role would enjoy interaction with people from different

backgrounds and different organisational positions. The ideal person will have experience in a

similar role as well as experience of Microsoft packages.

  • Maintain a presence in the reception area at all times

  • Open and lock up the building each day

  • Provide a warm welcome to all visitors and ensuring they are logged correctly and relevant staff are notified in a timely manner

  • Open the post daily and distribute accordingly

  • Receive all deliveries to the building and distribute accordingly

  • Liaise with couriers, the Royal Mail and other delivery companies as required

  • Answer switchboard calls and direct them to the appropriate individual or team

  • Record any telephone messages and ensure they are relayed in a timely manner

  • Support visitors and callers by answering queries

  • Organise meeting requirements such as room bookings, catering, hotels, travel etc.

  • Data input of hard copy documents as required

  • Manage all administrative needs including the ordering and distribution of general office needs

  • Understand the banking process and liaise with bank couriers

  • Any other duties deemed appropriate to fulfil this role

The Candidate

  • Experience in a similar role would be advantageous

  • An excellent telephone manner

  • Active listening and exceptional customer service skills

  • Microsoft experience i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook&Teams

  • Capable of working under pressure to meet necessary deadlines and initiatives

  • The ability to function independent of supervision

  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities

  • Excellent communication (written, verbal) and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work to deadlines
