Teaching Assistant

Step Teachers are working closely with a vibrant and nurturing school dedicated to providing exceptional care and education for young children. We are seeking a Teaching Assistant to work 3 days a week in a local mainstream primary school.

The role is working within the ASD unit, the successful candidate will ideally come with prior experience.

Teaching Assistant Role:

• Supporting children's social, emotional, and intellectual development through interactive play and learning experiences
• Providing individualised attention and support to children with varying needs and abilities
• Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for children at all times
• Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements
• As a Teaching Assistant, you must foster a safe and inclusive atmosphere

Teaching Assistant Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young children in a nursery or early childhood setting as a Teaching Assistant is a must
• A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth and development
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A relevant qualification in childcare or early years education is desirable but not essential
