Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Location: Surrey (commutable)
Salary: Up to £50,000 per year (DOE)
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (days & nights)

About the RoleWe're looking for a proactive Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a busy manufacturing site. You'll be responsible for maintaining production equipment and site services, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, and ensuring minimal downtime.

You'll be the go-to person for technical support, helping production teams resolve issues quickly and efficiently, while maintaining high safety and hygiene standards. Accurate record-keeping using our maintenance system is essential to support asset management and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across machinery and site equipment
Diagnose and resolve faults effectively to minimise downtime
Work closely with engineering and production teams to maintain high efficiency
Support continuous improvement initiatives and capital projects
Ensure safety, hygiene, and housekeeping standards are maintained to FMCG levels 

Skills & Experience
Electrical or mechanical bias with recognised qualifications (City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent)
Hands-on experience within manufacturing or FMCG environments
Strong fault-finding, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills
Experience with PLC-controlled equipment, packaging machinery, and vacuum systems is beneficial
Confident using CMMS and handheld maintenance technology
Good communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams
