Service Technician

The Role

We are delighted to be supporting our client, a niche engineering firm providing servicing and maintenance to specialist tools used across aerospace and power generation industries, in their search for a Service Technician to join their team. Working as part of a small team, this workshop-based Service Technician will be responsible primarily for the service and repair of mechanical and hydraulic tools.

• Perform servicing and repair functions adhering to established standard practices and procedures outlined in company manuals and publications.
• Complete servicing and repair documentation in alignment with Engineering Services Local Office Instructions.
• Collaborate with and provide support to the Engineering Services Administration team as needed.
• Handle unloading and booking-in of deliveries and goods-in.
• Prepare and load goods-out as required.
• Assist Laboratory Services with tooling testing and calibrations when necessary.
• Conduct inspections, servicing, and repairs of workshop equipment as required.

Requirements

To be successful in the role of Service Technician, we are seeking an individual with some mechanical or engineering experience. Experience in a servicing or repair environment would be highly beneficial. You will have the ability to multi-task and have familiarity with and confidence using some Microsoft Office. You will have great communication skills. This role could suit someone who has worked as a Service Engineer, Repair Technician, Service Technician.

They specialise in the sales, rental, servicing and calibration of specialist tooling used in the aerospace, power generation, marine and wind turbine industries. Their offering is very niche, and as such they provide a very structured training programme allowing Technicians to progress to Certified Technician, and then onto Inspector Status.
