We're looking for a technically strong engineer with a background in passive and board-level electronic components who is keen to step into a customer-facing, commercially focused role. You don't need to be a career salesperson - what matters most is your ability to understand applications, guide component selection, and build trusted relationships with engineers.

The Opportunity

In this role, you'll act as a technical partner to customers across Northern England, North Wales, and Scotland, supporting them with component selection, design-in activity, and problem-solving across demanding applications.

You'll work on projects within sectors such as:

Aerospace & Defence
Space & Satellite
Rail & Industrial
Other harsh or high-reliability environmentsThis is a consultative, solutions-led position - not transactional sales. You'll collaborate with internal specialists and global manufacturers to deliver the right technical and commercial outcomes for your customers.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting engineers with component selection and application advice
Engaging in design discussions, site visits, and technical reviews
Identifying and developing new project opportunities
Building long-term relationships with engineering and procurement teams
Working closely with internal teams to deliver coordinated support
Managing your own regional territory with autonomyWhat We're Looking For

Strong technical knowledge of electronic components (especially passives)
Background in electronics engineering, applications engineering, or technical support
Interest in moving into a customer-facing / commercial role
Ability to communicate confidently with both engineers and buyers
Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working remotely
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travelExperience in high-reliability sectors (aerospace, defence, rail, industrial) is highly desirable, but not essential.

On offer:

Up to £70k salary
Commission, hit 100% of targets achieved 5% salary bonus, hit 110% of target then 10% of salary bonus
25 days holiday plus bank holidays, after 5 years service additional 5 days
Company car
37.5 hours per week
Normal expenses package for meals, travel, hotels etc
BUPA - company funded after one year service , after 5 years-service company pay for spouse
Pension - Company paid after 3 months 8% of salary, goes up 1% with each year of service, employee can also make salary sacrifice contributions
Non-contributory pension
