Your new roleOur client, a school in Haydock is looking for a Qualified Level 2 Early Years Teaching Assistant to start in September on an 8-week temporary contract which could be extended or go permanent for the right candidate. The role involves working within a large reception class supporting the class teacher, managing behaviour, assisting in the general learning and development of the pupils on a 1:1 basis and in smaller groups. Your new role:

• Assist in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities
• Ensuring all children are engaged in learning and activities
• Support children's social, emotional, and physical development
• Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with the teaching team
• Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
• Be comfortable assisting with personal care such as nappy changes

What you'll need to succeed

• Knowledge of safeguarding
• DBS
• Experience in an early years/nursery setting
• Level 2 Early Years Assistant Qualification
• Full right to work in the UK
