We are a specialist engineering business based in Stoke-on-Trent, focused on the design and manufacture of bespoke filtration equipment and process machinery. Our site operates as a smaller, agile facility with strong financial backing and is part of a larger global engineering group.

As we continue to grow and invest in our capabilities, we're seeking a Mechanical Service Engineer to support customer installations and aftersales service across the UK and internationally.

The Role

This is a mechanically biased field service role, responsible for the installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of custom-built filtration systems. You'll be the sole service engineer, with support from the wider team, and play a key part in delivering high-quality, responsive technical support to our customers.

Primary service areas: Derby, Birmingham, Warrington, Manchester
Overseas travel: 5-6 trips annually
Travel time: Approx. 50% (2-4 weeks/month)Key Responsibilities

Installation and commissioning of mechanical filtration systems
Routine and reactive maintenance at customer sites
Mechanical fault-finding and basic electrical troubleshooting
Liaison with engineering, production, and project teams
Supporting build, FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), and customer witness testing on-site
Completion of service reports, documentation, and certificationWhat We're Looking For

Mechanical engineering/service background (maintenance or field service)
Experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment; heavy engineering experience desirable
Strong mechanical skills - pumps, valves, pipework, hydraulics
Basic electrical knowledge (fault-finding, testing, safety awareness) - desirable
Confident working independently with excellent communication skills
Willingness to undertake extensive product training, certifications provided
Full UK driving licence and valid passportWhat's on Offer
