We're seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Engineering Supervisor / Team Leader with a background in managing teams within similar industrial environments—ideally with hands-on knowledge of hydraulics, conveyor systems, PLC-controlled equipment, sortation systems, and balers. Competitive Salary: On offer is a competitive salary of £55,000 per annum plus overtime and benefits.
Holiday: 33 days inclusive of bank holidays
Hours: Working 5 x 8 hour shifts per week (Week 1 - 6am - 2pm) (Week 2 - 2pm to 10pm) (Week 3 - 10pm to 6am) with occasional weekends paid as overtime may be required.

About the role:

As the Engineering Team Leader, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our cutting-edge facility. Leveraging your expertise in hydraulics, conveyor systems, PLC-controlled machinery, sortation equipment, and balers, you will lead a multi-skilled engineering team to deliver peak performance, minimise downtime, and implement robust preventive maintenance strategies. Main duties and responsibilities:

Organise and conduct PPMs per OEM specifications, ensuring CMMS records are up to date. React to breakdowns and carry out timely plant repairs to minimise downtime.
Oversee team performance and engagement, conduct 1-2-1s, manage technical compliance, and ensure training and mentoring of junior staff.
Enforce and adhere to H&S standards across the team.
Support operators as needed, monitor cleaning the team performance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

About you:

You are an experience Engineering Supervisor / Team Leader with a proven track record in on-site maintenance activities, particularly with heavy equipment such as conveyors and hydraulics. You will hold a minimum Level 3 apprenticeship in engineering or a related field and have demonstrated experience in leading a multi-skilled team. Your problem-solving skills in high-pressure situations, and your commitment to safety protocols is essential to the smooth running of our site.
