This is a vital management role focused on safeguarding and supporting vulnerable young people—particularly 16-17-year-olds—in a hostel environment. If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people and have a strong background in frontline support services, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee referrals and manage resident records, ensuring smooth inductions and high-quality service delivery.

*

Promote diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities in all aspects of service.

*

Identify and mitigate risks, recognising symptoms and referring to specialist services where necessary.

*

Ensure accommodation meets health and safety standards and escalate any issues promptly.

*

Support young people to access benefits and manage their finances, in line with policy and procedures.

*

Engage positively with residents, even in challenging situations, promoting healthy relationships and appropriate behaviours.

*

Respond to and escalate incidents, anti-social behaviour, and safeguarding concerns appropriately.

*

Work in close partnership with Housing Officers and landlords to ensure seamless housing management support.

What We're Looking For:

*

Experience supporting vulnerable young people in a hostel or similar setting.

*

Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.

*

Understanding of trauma-informed and psychologically informed practice.

*

Working knowledge of safeguarding procedures, child protection frameworks and risk management.

*

Familiarity with Health & Safety policies including lone working protocols.

Additional Information:

*

Enhanced DBS check required.

*
