We're working with a fantastic school in South Sheffield that supports children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a calm, nurturing environment. They're looking for a compassionate, proactive ASC Learning Support Assistant to provide consistent 1:1 support and help pupils thrive both in and out of the classroom.

If you've got a steady presence, a caring nature, and a bit of creative flair—you might be just the person they're looking for.

What you'll be doing:

Supporting a child with ASC 1:1, helping build trust, focus, and confidence

Encouraging communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation

Promoting positive behaviour through consistency and calm support

Assisting during lessons and unstructured times, using play and creativity to build relationships

Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver tailored support plans

We'd love to hear from you if you:

Have recent experience supporting children with autism or related needs OR have transferable skills or personal experience

Can stay calm and grounded under pressure

Are full of patience, kindness, and a good sense of humour

Are confident using behaviour strategies and proactive in your support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
