Assistant Finance Manager
Location: Leamington Spa (Office based)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 + Bonus + Benefits

Assistant Finance Manager Key Responsibilities

* Support the Finance Manager in overseeing day-to-day finance operations across the group

* Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including international entities

* Deliver insightful financial analysis, reporting, and commentary to support strategic decision-making

* Manage and oversee UK payroll and maintain accurate HR/financial records

* Perform multi-currency bank reconciliations across multiple accounts

* Prepare and submit VAT returns across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring compliance

* Lead month-end and year-end processes, including journals and balance sheet reconciliations

* Maintain and improve financial reports, spreadsheets, and internal controls

* Oversee credit card reconciliations and expense processes

* Supervise, mentor, and develop two Accounts Assistants

* Assist with process improvements and support wider finance projects

Assistant Finance Manager Skills & Experience

* Previous experience in a similar role, such as Assistant Finance Manager, Management Accountant, or Senior Assistant Accountant

* Strong knowledge of management accounts preparation and financial reporting

* Experience working in a multi-entity and/or multi-currency environment (highly desirable)

* Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis)

* Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical capabilities

* Confident communicator with the ability to build relationships across departments

* Proven ability to manage workloads, meet deadlines, and support junior team members
