Our clientA global engineering business undergoing strategic transformation is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join its North East operations. This is a critical hire within a lean, high-performing engineering team, supporting R&D and new product development (NPD) initiatives. The opportunityKey Responsibilities:

• Lead the design of electrical control systems.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers and technicians to deliver projects on time.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Produce technical documentation including schematics, FDS, and design reports.
• Provide technical support during FAT/SAT and in-service activities.
• Mentor junior engineers. 

About youCandidate Profile:

• Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Strong understanding of electrical control systems and engineering standards.
• Effective communicator with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

Desirable Experience:

• Familiarity with commissioning and fault-finding.
• Ability to interpret flow diagrams and use design software tools.
• Exposure to capital equipment design.
